Brown Bear Tackle Box Fly Patterns

Please read the patterns carefully before attempting to tie them.

This will help avoid frustration. I have tried to put the pattern down in order of construction and some of these can become complicated and time consuming.

Wet
Steelhead

  Name - Ashdown Green Streamer

  Hook - Std wet 4-16
  Thread - Black
Tail Slip of red duck or goose quill, thin and as long as the hook
Rib Oval silver tinsel
Body Maroon wool thicker to the front - slightly picked out
Throat Maroon hackle tied as a collar and then down to form a throat
Wing A pair of white goose or swan quill slips reaching to just past the tip of the tail
