Brown Bear Tackle Box Fly Patterns

Please read the patterns carefully before attempting to tie them.

This will help avoid frustration. I have tried to put the pattern down in order of construction and some of these can become complicated and time consuming.

Spey
Salmon

  Name - Akroyd - Double

  Hook - Salmon 2-10
  Thread - Black
Tag Oval silver tinsel
Tip Yellow floss
Tail Golden Pheasant crest and tippet mixed
Ribbing Rear section - Oval silver tinsel
Body Rear section - dubbed light orange seal
Hackle Rear - Lemon coloured saddle hackle
Ribbing Front section - flat silver tinsel and french twist
Body Front section - Black floss
Hackle Front - Black heron palmered over the black floss. With Heron being hard to come by, one needs to substitute. A Black spey  or a large black saddle hackle could work.
Throat Teal. (Only at the head of the front section)
Wing 2 pairs of cinnamon turkey tail strips (set flat)
Cheeks 4 jungle cock drooping
